Vietnam aims to be among ASEAN’s leading states in innovation, intellectual property protection

(VOVWORLD) - The Government has adopted an intellectual property strategy setting goals to further improve Vietnam’s global innovation index, the Government portal reported. 

Under the strategy, the Government expects the number of registered inventions will increase by up to 18 percent annually. The number of applications for registration of industrial designs and trademarks is expected to increase by 8 percent and 10 percent on average per year respectively. The total revenues of cultural industries are expected to contribute around 7 percent to GDP by 2030, reads the strategy.

The strategy aims to make Vietnam a leading country in innovation and intellectual property protection and use in ASEAN by 2030.
