Vietnam aims to earn 24 billion USD from leather footwear exports
(VOVWORLD) - The leather footwear and handbag industry aims an export revenue of 24 billion USD in 2020, after hitting 22 billion USD last year, the Vietnam Leather Footwear and Handbag Association said.

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) helps the industry expand its market to America with potential markets like Mexico, Canada, Chile, and Peru.
Cao Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, said: "The Ministry is building development strategies for the leather footwear industry until 2030 with a vision to 2035. The strategies are expected to be issued this year to help the government and businesses turn leather footwear into the leading sector in production and exports."
