The airline implemented strict procedures for selection, testing, and inspection from harvesting to preserving and serving the oranges in-flight. Most of the Xa Doai oranges were grown and cultivated according to the Global Gap standard from the 60 hectares of farmland at Thien Son Orange Farm of Con Cuong district, Nghe An province.
Serving the specialty orange of Nghe An province in-flight is part of a program by Vietnam Airlines to promote Vietnamese foods to its customers through cultural and tourism activities. Passengers can enjoy Vietnam’s famous delicacies as a “friendly greeting” from across the nation.
