Vietnam among destinations favored by Korean tourists
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam ranks second among the favorite travel destinations of people from the Republic of Korea (RoK), thanks to convenient flights and cool weather, according to statistics provided by the immigration agency of the RoK Ministry of Justice.

The number of Koreans travelling abroad increased dramatically in the first nine months of 2023, with more than 16 million going by air, up 382% from the previous year.
The top five destinations, based on the number of airline passengers in the January-September period, were Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and the US.
The number of Korean tourists visiting Vietnam in the period was 389% above the same period in 2022. The central coast city of Da Nang was the most attractive destination for Korean visitors.
