Meeting Kuroiwa Yuji, governor of Kanagawa prefecture of Japan, who is on a working trip to Vietnam, President Phuc applauded the growing extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan, notably cooperation in trade, education, culture and labor.
Kuroiwa said many Kanagawa businesses want to invest in Vietnam and hope to receive assistance from the local authorities. The prefecture will step up coordination to hold more cultural exchange events, promote economic and educational cooperation, and give support to Vietnamese students studying in the prefecture, he added.
Kanagawa cooperates with localities of Vietnam including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, and Quang Ninh in economics, trade, education and training, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
