Vietnam, ASEAN welcome enterprises pursuing New Southern Policy
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Vietnam and other ASEAN countries will create the best possible conditions for enterprises doing business in the ASEAN markets.

While attending the ASEAN-Republic of Korea CEO Summit on Monday, Mr. Phuc said the New Southern Policy launched by the Republic of Korea President coincides with the idea of “ASEAN Community- RoK, connecting the future” and is expected to deepen bilateral ties.
He expressed his hope that the Republic of Korea will continue working with ASEAN to build an ASEAN Community for peace and prosperity in the East Asia region and raise two-way trade turnover to 200 billion USD next year.
He urged ASEAN and the Republic of Korea to consistently boost multilateral trade by upgrading the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Free Trade Agreement.
“As the ASEAN Chair in 2020, Vietnam and other ASEAN countries welcome South Korean enterprises in pursuing the New Southern Policy. Vietnam has made considerable progress in its business investment environment and will do more to facilitate foreign investors,” said PM Phuc.
