Vietnam asks for WEF’s support for 4th industrial revolution
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has asked the World Economic Forum to continue to support the country’s education and tertiary education in particular to meet the demands of the 4th industrial revolution.
At a meeting with Head of the WEF’s Asia Pacific Region Justin Wood in Hanoi on Thursday, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said the 4th industrial revolution is creating new jobs and also changing the nature and structures of traditional jobs requiring workers to improve their skills. He asked the WEF to help Vietnam approach new teaching technologies and advanced tertiary education governance methods. Justin Wood promised to work with Vietnamese agencies including the Ministry of Education and Training to boost the development of Vietnam’s education sector to meet the demands of international integration.
