At a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday with visiting Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Senior Lieutenant General Kurenkov Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich, Prime Minister Chinh urged the two sides to increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, and effectively implement existing cooperation mechanisms, especially the Intergovernmental Committee mechanism.

Chinh said the two sides need to upgrade the Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement, increase investment, focusing on developing new projects, and soon reopen direct flights between the capitals of the two countries.

Minister Kurenkov Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich informed Prime Minister Chinh about the results of his meeting with Minister of Public Security To Lam where the two sides agreed to further strengthen close cooperation in all fields, especially in fire prevention, search and rescue, staff training and coaching, and further cultivate the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a more practical and effective manner.
