Vietnam attends 26th Global Summit of Women in Poland
(VOVworld) – Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh affirmed women’s important role in national development in a speech delivered at the opening ceremony of the 26th Global Summit of Women in Warsaw, Poland, on Thursday.

Themed “Women: Building an Inclusive Economy in the Digital Age”, the three- day event brought together nearly 1,000 delegates. The summit has been held annually since 1990 to enhance international awareness of gender equality and promote women’s role in the economic field.
Ms. Thinh said Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest percentage of women involved in the political system. Ms. Thinh said Vietnamese women are playing an important role in building and developing the nation during the international integration.
She informed the participants of Vietnam’s policies to promote Vietnamese women’s participation in all fields.
