Vietnam attracts 9.5 million foreign tourists in nine months
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has welcomed approximately 9.5 million international tourists so far this year, a year-on-year rise of 28 percent.

In September, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) organised the first national tourism skill contest, aiming to honour tourism workers and share experience in the field. The VNAT launched promotion programs in key markets such as Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Japan and is introducing Vietnamese tourism potential in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Vietnam has also participated in major international fairs such as the JATA Tourism Expo in Tokyo, Japan, and the Top Resa Tourism Trade Fair in Paris. Vietnam has defined Japan as a key market in its tourism development plans.
Vietnam aims to receive 13 million international tourists this year.
