Vietnam attracts over 13 billion USD in FDI in H1
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam attracted 13 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) from the beginning of this year to June 20, down 4.3% year-on-year, according to the General Statistics Office.

In the period, there were 1,300 newly-registered projects with a combined capital of 6.5 billion USD, up 31% in capital compared to the same period last year. The new projects were mainly in the fields of processing, manufacturing, and real estate.
Among 57 nations and territories with new projects in Vietnam, Singapore was the largest investor, with nearly 1.8 billion USD, followed by China and Japan.
Canada was the biggest receiver of Vietnamese investments, with 150 million USD, followed by Singapore, and Laos.
