Vietnam has become the US ’s second largest footwear supplier after China . The Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association reports that Vietnam expects to earn more than 1.75 billion USD from footwear exported to the US this year, up 35 percent from last year. Vietnam ’s footwear market share  in the US has risen from 6 percent to 8 percent.
