(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union Pham Sanh Chau has discussed judicial cooperation programs with Belgium. At a recent meeting with leaders from the Belgian Court of Cassation, Ambassador Chau said he hopes Belgium will conduct judicial co-operative programs with Vietnam’s Supreme People’s Court and Supreme Procuracy.

Chau said Vietnam and Belgium possess great potential in bilateral judicial collaboration if they exchange delegations and experience in judicial procedures, laws, legal procedures, and training. He added that both countries have cordial ties and comprehensive legal systems, and are members of the International Organisation of the Francophonie.
Vietnam is the only Asian country to receive ODA from Belgium.
