(VOVWORLD) - Judo athlete Hoang Thi Tinh secured the 13th and also the last ticket for Vietnam at the Paris 2024 Olympics after defeating Morand Priscilla of Mauritius to win the gold medal at the ongoing Lima Panamerican Open 2024 in Peru.

Earlier, Tinh triumphed over rivals from Chile and Guatemala in the 48kg category.
At the Paris Olympics, from July 26 to August 11, Vietnam will compete in cycling, swimming, shooting, weightlifting, canoeing, rowing, badminton, boxing, judo, and archery.
