Vietnam boosts external relations with Russia
(VOVworld) - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly’s
External Relations Committee Nguyen Manh Tien led a delegation to visit Russia
from over the past 4 days to enhance bilateral cooperation.

During a working
session with Deputy Chairman of Russia’s State Duma Committee on Foreign
Affairs Anatoly Karpov in Moscow on Tuesday, the two sides praised the growing
friendship and cooperation in various fields, especially in economics, trade,
and investment. They agreed to hold more regular delegation exchanges at all
levels to increase mutual understanding and create a firm foundation to propel
the two nations’ relations forward. Mr
Tien proposed that Russia make it easier for Vietnamese citizens to obtain
tourist visas and support overseas Vietnamese in Russia.
The same day, Tien had
a working session with Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council’s Foreign
Affairs Committee in Charge of Culture and Education Aleksandr Volkov.
Earlier, the
Vietnamese delegation met with the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and business
community in Russia.
