Vietnam calls for further cooperation with Azerbaijan
(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said Vietnam and Azerbaijan had discussed measures to boost bilateral ties.

Mr. Minh told media after talks in Hanoi on Wednesday with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, that the two countries have maintained a traditional political relationship. He made several proposals to further bilateral cooperation: “Both sides agreed to increase the efficiency of the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation. Oil and gas is a key area of our cooperation and efforts should be made boost cooperation in transportation.”
Foreign Minister Mammadyarov praised the two countries’ exchange of visits and emphasized new cooperation opportunities in transportation.
During the talks, two Foreign Ministers agreed to settle East Sea issues through peaceful means and respect for international law, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
