During a meeting with Angela Pratt, the WHO Representative in Vietnam, in Hanoi on Tuesday, the Deputy PM praised the organization's efforts in addressing various diseases that the world is currently confronting, especially the WHO's support to Vietnam in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ha said after the pandemic, Vietnam has stepped up efforts to upgrade its medical system in anticipation of possible disease outbreaks in the future.
He also called for the WHO’s assistance in dealing with limitations in health insurance policies, and accessing quality and affordable medical products including medicines, biological products and vaccines, especially those that are not available in the expanded immunization program.
Pratt applauded the close and effective cooperation between the two sides, adding that it establishes a solid foundation for ongoing collaboration in addressing challenges in the medical sector.
She said that the WHO will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health to bolster Vietnam's access to vaccines included in its expanded immunization program.
She also expressed her gratitude to Vietnam for actively participating in future healthcare programs and projects, as well as for its commitment to climate initiatives.
