Vietnam calls on parties in Syria to engage in dialogue
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam on Wednesday called on parties to the Syrian conflict to engage in a dialogue to achieve a long-term political solution and put the interests of the Syrian people first.

At the UN Security Council’s monthly briefing on Syria, Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of Vietnam’s permanent mission to the UN, acknowledged progress in negotiations by the Syrian Constitutional Committee in late 2020, and said this is an opportunity to achieve a breakthrough in talks. He stressed the importance of the international community’s assistance to Syria.
