In an interview with the Voice of Vietnam while attending COP 27, Minister Ha said Vietnam is committed to being responsible and a pioneer in energy transformation, green transformation, and digital transformation.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for Vietnam to interact with international mechanisms like Conference with the President of the World Bank to find ways to mobilize financing and other support for Vietnam.” 

“Within the framework of COP27, we are continuing to discuss just energy transition with partners from the G7 and take advantage of opportunities, especially in terms of energy efficiency, preferential financing, technology transfer, and mobilizing qualified investors, to fulfill our Net Zero commitment,” said Minister Tran Hong Ha.

Minister Ha said Vietnam is negotiating target commitments and detailed support conditions with partners that will ensure efficiency, structured capital, and an early assessment of Vietnam's renewable energy potential.

Vietnam has a great potential for renewable energies like wind power and solar power, and in the future Vietnam hopes to be an energy exporter to Southeast Asia and the world.
