Vietnam chairs discussion on climate change impacts on human health
(VOVworld) – A discussion on climate change impacts on attaining the highest standard of physical and mental health was held on Thursday as part of the 31st regular session of the UN Human Rights Council.
Nguyen Trung Thanh, Ambassador and head of the Vietnamese permanent mission to the UN, the WTO, and other international organizations in Geneva, chaired the discussion. He said that as Vietnam is one of the countries most venerable to climate change it is committed to minimizing climate change impacts on human health. He said Vietnam will incorporate climate change impacts and human rights into its laws and policies and join other nations in implementing the Paris Agreement on climate change.
