Vietnam, China bolster people-to-people exchanges
(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh hosted a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Lin Yi, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the two countries’ delegates to the seventh Vietnam-China People’s Forum. Minh congratulated the delegates for the success of the forum, noting that Vietnam always attaches importance to consolidating and intensifying its neighborly friendship and comprehensive cooperation with China. He suggested the Chinese association and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) continue holding exchange activities to consolidate their time-honored friendship, boost collaboration, control disputes, and maintain peace and stability in the East Sea.

Lin Yi confirmed that China also treasures its relations with Vietnam. She added that her association will continue close coordination with VUFO in organizing people-to-people exchanges to help promote bilateral ties.
