Vietnam, China improve implementation of legal documents on land border management
(VOVworld) – A conference to review 5 years of implementing 3 legal documents on land border management between Vietnam and China opened in Guangxi province on Tuesday.
Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung said the conference should focus on shortcomings in order to improve coordination in land border management between the two countries. The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin said the documents opened a new chapter in bilateral ties and successfully proved the peaceful settlement of disputes through negotiations and consultations. Liu asked the two countries’ management agencies to research cooperation models to improve customs clearance, develop cross-border trade, and strengthen friendship exchanges and mutual understanding.
