Vietnam, Croatia to raise bilateral trade to 200 million USD by 2025
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Croatia have agreed to increase the exchange of delegations via all State and parliament channels and between ministries, sectors and localities.

During their talks on Tuesday in Zagreb, Croatia, Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković highlighted the fine and reliable relations in politics and diplomacy between Vietnam and Croatia.
They agreed to improve the efficiency of bilateral economic-trade-investment ties and consider the establishment of the inter-governmental cooperation mechanism and cooperative projects in maritime, transport, light industry, clean energy, information technology and innovation while tapping new opportunities brought about by the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), toward lifting two-way trade to 200 million USD by 2025.
The two sides pledged to boost seaport cooperation to become hubs for goods transshipments between ASEAN and Europe and expand partnership in education-training, labour, culture, sports and tourism as Croatia is to join the Schengen visa-free zone and eurozone from January 1, 2023.
