(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong received the visiting Cuban delegation led by Minister of Revolutionary Armed Forces, Senior Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frias on Monday.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong said the visit helps foster relations between the two Parties, governments and peoples in general and the two armies in particular. The Party leader affirmed the consistent support of Vietnam’s Party and government to Cuba’s heroic revolutionary cause. He also congratulated Cuba’s government and people on their tireless struggle over the past 50 years to normalize relations with the US. Senior Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frias briefed Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on the outcomes of his meetings with agencies of the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense.He affirmed Cuba's determination to boost the special friendship and cooperation between Cuban and Vietnamese Parties, States and peoples.
