Mr. Dung added that their solidarity was illustrated by a historic visit by Fidel Castro to Vietnam’s southern liberation area in September, 1973, and Fidel’s famous saying “For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to donate blood”. Mr. Dung affirmed Vietnam’s determination to continue consolidating and developing the Vietnam-Cuba exemplary fraternity, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and loyal solidarity.
Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera highlighted the special fraternity and solidarity between Cuba and Vietnam. The two countries have strengthened cooperation and shared experience in healthcare, agriculture, biotechnology, science, culture, and justice, she said, proposing that the two countries step up bilateral trade and facilitate Vietnamese investment in Cuba.
