(VOVworld) - A Vietnamese delegation led by President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Vu Xuan Hong paid a working visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) from August 13-18. The delegation attended celebrations of the DPRK’s 70^th Liberation Day and the 50^th founding anniversary of their friendship associations. During his stay, Hong also met with leaders of the DPRK’s Committee for Culture Relation with Foreign Countries, the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association, and the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea. The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed specific measures to consolidate and develop the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two peoples in the new context.
