Vietnam eager to support WWF
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam is eager to support the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in implementing new ideas and new approaches to shared goals, said Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at a meeting with Kirsten Schuijt, the WWF Director General on Thursday in Hanoi.

Mr. Ha said that he hopes the WWF leader will share her experience in expanding nature reserves in parallel with sustainable economic development.
Ms. Schuijt praised the support of the Government of Vietnam for domestic and global conservation efforts. She expressed her hope that in the coming time, the two sides will cooperate more closely in forest development and the management and protection of freshwater resources, as well as projects to implement the Montreal Protocol and promote food production using methods in harmony with nature.
The WWF leader said that the organization will implement a number of new projects on biodiversity conservation, forest protection, and climate change response in Vietnam.
