Vietnam Embassy pays tribute to Russian scholar Grigory Lokshin

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi on Sunday led the delegation of the Embassy and agencies to pay tribute to Assoc. Dr. of Historical Science Grigory Mikhailovich Lokshin, a scholar of Vietnamese Study and leading researcher of the Center for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies at the Institute of Contemporary China and Asia, Russian Academy of Sciences.

He was born on April 1, 1938 and died last Wednesday after a long illness.
At the tribute-paying ceremony in Moscow, Ambassador Khoi extended condolences to the family and friends of Grigory Lokshin, who he said was a famous Orientalist both in Russia and around the world and one of the greatest experts on political development issues of modern Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
He was twice awarded the Friendship Order by the State of Vietnam as well as multiple medals.
