He called on UN member states and agencies to together enhance conflict prevention efforts by taking appropriate measures, especially through promoting the respect for international law, resolving conflicts by peaceful means, upholding the culture of peace, building trust, and setting up friendly relations among countries.

The ambassador added conflict prevention efforts need cooperation among the main organs of the UN with full reference to member states. He also emphasized the advantages of regional and sub-regional organizations in preventive diplomacy to prevent conflicts, and that Vietnam is ready to contribute to common efforts to maintain international peace and security and prevent conflicts.
