(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam incentivizes Singaporean businesses to continue to expand their investment here, especially in clean energy and sustainable development, said President Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a receptions on Thursday for leaders of several Singaporean groups.

Mr. Phuc is on a State visit to Singapore.
Receiving Wong Kim Yin, chairman and CEO of the Sembcorp Industries Group, whose projects based in seven Vietnamese localities represent a total investment of 15.4 billion USD, President Phuc hailed the group’s investment and said he’d like to see Sembcorp expand the VSIP model in other places across the country.
President Phuc said he anticipates that Sembcorp will increase its investment in innovative high-end projects in Vietnam, especially those involving green and sustainable development.
Receiving Loh Chin Hua, CEO of the Kappel Group, President Phuc spoke glowingly of the group's investment in Vietnam and its collaboration with partners and asked the group to invest in renewable energy, clean energy, infrastructure, and smart cities.
At a meeting with Lim Ming Yan, chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), President Phuc urged the SBF to continue to promote Singaporean investment in Vietnam.
