Green transformation cooperation is representing Vietnam's development priorities, such as the green economy, the circular economy, the digital economy, and the marine economy.
This is the EU’s leading advantage. The EU is also promoting international cooperation with partners to diversify supply chains, minimize risks, implement green development strategies, and enhance its global role and position.
The EU and the international community have praised Vietnam's strong, practical commitments and actions, including emissions reduction commitments and participation in the Just Energy Transition Partnership.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and head of the Vietnam Mission to the EU Nguyen Van Thao, Minister Son’s working visit to Belgium, along with ongoing economic connection, trade promotion, and investment activities, are a firm foundation for the two sides to efficiently tap their cooperation potential.
Belgium is Vietnam's strategic partner in agriculture, but Belgium also has other outstanding strengths in infrastructure, seaports, hydrogen energy, health care, and pharmaceuticals. These important areas, which meet Vietnam's needs and Belgium's capabilities, need to be made full use of to deepen bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
