(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reiterated on Tuesday that Vietnam attaches great importance to its partnership with the EU and its member states.

During a reception for Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, head of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, PM Chinh asked the delegation to step up cooperation with Vietnam in environmental protection, climate change response, digital transformation, and renewable energy.
He proposed that the two sides work closely to implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, push for the ratification of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement, boost trade and investment cooperation, and continue mutual projects in Vietnam.
Mr. Chinh said as a responsible member of the international community, Vietnam has been taking drastic measures to fight illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU).
