(VOVworld)-Vietnam on Saturday sent condolences to Cuba over the death of revolutionary icon Fidel Castro Ruz.

In a message of sympathy, the Party Central Committee, the State President, the Government and the National Assembly Standing Committee of Vietnam emphasized that Fidel Castro’s life and career will live forever in the glorious revolutionary cause of the Cuban people and nations who are struggling for an equal, civilized, democratic, prosperous and happy world. The death of Fidel Castro means that the Communist Party, State, Government and people of Cuba, Latin American people, and communist and revolutionary movements worldwide have lost a staunch, brave and experienced leader. The Communist Party, State and people of Vietnam have lost a close and beloved comrade-in-arms, the message read.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has also conveyed his condolences to Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
