(VOVworld) -A large number of Vietnamese expatriates in Belgium attended the Vietnam Family Day which was held in Brussels on Saturday.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Pham Sanh Chau who is also Head of the Vietnam Mission to the European Union, spoke highly of the initiative, emphasizing that the event will tighten solidarity among overseas Vietnamese in Belgium. 

Huynh Cong My, President of the Federation of Vietnamese People in Belgium, said the festival aims to contribute to improving people’s spiritual life and promoting Vietnam’s traditional cultural value.

Within the framework of the event, a wide range of activities including a cooking contest, a singing competition for children, and a music performance were held.
