Mr. Thao Xuan Sung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Association’s Youth Union and Party Committee, was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association. Mr. Sung told the meeting: “I will try my best to work with the Vietnam Farmers’ Association to promote democracy, solidarity and creativity to achieve goals and successfully implement tasks assigned by the Party, State and the resolutions of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association. I will focus on agriculture restructuring, poverty reduction and protecting the legitimate interests of the Association’s members to be worthy of the trust by the Party and State in the farmers’ class”.
