Themed "Solidarity-Democracy-Creativity-Cooperation-Development", the Congress will set out three groundbreaking tasks: Innovating methods of gathering and uniting farmers, developing the collective economy and improving the qualifications of farmers.

Luong Quoc Doan, President of the Vietnam Famers’ Union, said: “The Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union identifies three goals. First is to strongly promote methods of gathering farmer members. Second is to encourage people to participate in collective economic development. Third is personnel work which must improve the qualification and skills of officials, especially those in mobilization work.”
