Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu said the annual Vietnam festival in Japan is an important exchange event as it has contributed to the development of relations between the two countries over the past 50 years.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Festival will welcome about 180,000 visitors. 130 booths of companies, organizations, and individuals will introduce and sell products of Vietnamese characteristics, introducing Vietnamese culture, tourism, and cuisine to Japanese people.

Famous artists and music groups from the two countries will perform and interact with the audience during the two days of the festival. In particular, this time will welcome a water puppet troupe from Vietnam and recreate Hoi An ancient town.

Vietnam Festival in Japan is sponsored  by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Tokyo metropolitan government, and Mainichi Newspaper.
