(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Fisheries Association denounced Chinese ships for obstructing the rescue of Vietnamese fishermen and attacking Vietnam’s fishing vessels, saying they are inhuman and violated the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

In documents sent to the Government Office, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Party Central Committee Commission for External Relations, the Association asked China to immediately stop their aggressive acts. The Association also continued to help the fishermen to better understand the UNCLOS and the extent of Vietnam’s traditional fishing grounds.
