Vietnam footballers get used to New Zealand weather
(VOVWORLD) -Cold, windy and rainy weather on Saturday could not dishearten the Vietnamese women's team who were training for a friendly match against New Zealand before the World Cup 2023.
According to fitness coach Cedric Roger, to keep fit in the temperature of 10 to 20 degrees Celsius, the team’s doctors have prepared more ginger tea and hot drinks for players during training sessions.
On Sunday coach Mai Duc Chung and his players still had a practice session before the match against the host country’s women's team at 5:30 pm on Monday (local time) at McLean Park Stadium, Napier, New Zealand.
Vietnam will play another friendly against Spain on July 14 before the World Cup. In the group stage, Vietnam will face the US on July 22, Portugal on the 27, and the Netherlands on August 1.
