Vietnam footballers in Uzbekistan for AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup
(VOVWORLD) -On Thursday, the Vietnamese women’s U20 football team arrived in Uzbekistan to compete in the final round of the 2024 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, scheduled to take place in Tashkent City from March 3 to 16.

The Vietnamese women are in Group B, where they will face defending champions Japan, runners-up the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and China.
In Group A, host Uzbekistan will compete against South Korea, Australia, and Taipei (China).
From this Saturday through next Tuesday, team Vietnam will play two friendly matches against the host team. Head coach Akira Ijiri said he hopes his players will take the opportunity to improve their skills.
