Vietnam Foreign Ministry: No Vietnamese killed or injured in Mexico earthquake
(VOVWORLD) - At a regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang spoke to VOV reporters on the situation of Vietnamese people after the earthquake in Mexico on Tuesday.

“According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico, no Vietnamese citizen has been reportedly injured in the earthquake. The Embassy has promptly assisted Vietnamese people with temporary accommodation. It is seeking ways to ensure communication and take necessary citizen protection measures to ensure safety for Vietnamese people living and working in Mexico. The Embassy has set up a hotline on citizen protection to ensure prompt assistance," she said.
Concerning the UN’s recent increased sanctions on North Korea, Ms Hang said as a responsible member of the UN and international community, Vietnam always abides by UN Security Council resolutions including the resolution on North Korea.
