Vietnam halts sending workers to Middle East
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs on Wednesday ordered a halt on sending Vietnamese guest workers to the Middle East amid growing US-Iran tension.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung asked the Department of Overseas Labor Management to temporarily stop businesses from sending workers to the Middle East and if a business fails to comply, it will face suspension. Mr. Dung told the Department to closely monitor and cooperate with related organizations to take any measures needed. Guests workers this year should be focused on traditional markets, including Germany, he said.
