Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang told the press on Thursday that Vietnam has not received any information about some Vietnamese wooden exports to the US containing Russian elements.

She said Vietnam is willing to exchange with the US through available mechanisms, including the framework agreement on trade and investment to promptly address emerging issues to strengthen bilateral trade and investment for the interests of the two countries’ businesses and people.

Earlier, the Washington Post quoted a report by the UK-based Environmental Investigation Agency alleging Russian birch wood was routed through Asia, including China and Vietnam, before being shipped to US stores.
