Mr. Giang called on the international community to maintain priorities for efforts to build peace, prevent conflicts and resolve the fundamental causes of conflicts while taking into account the level of development and the conditions and specific circumstances of each place.
He urged countries to step up efforts to promote reconciliation and unification through inclusive dialogue involving women and young people.
Ambassador Giang recommended that the international community respond to the UN Secretary-General's call for commitments to informal development assistance for conflict-affected countries and promotion of gender equality in peace-building.
Mr. Giang added that Vietnam will hold careful consultations with parties involved to ensure effective resources for peace processes and will make more meaningful contributions to peacekeeping and peace-building efforts.
