The hybrid event which connected 63 locations nationwide also launched the Digital Transformation of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The national database system for granting and managing planting area codes is now put into use as a platform for connecting and sharing information between state agencies, enterprises, cooperatives, and farmers.

At the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that this is an important step in building agricultural digital data platforms to meet the needs of international integration.

“The national database system is important in "Identifying Vietnam's agricultural products", building trust and the brand name of Vietnamese agricultural products in the domestic and foreign market as well as bringing economic benefits for farmers, cooperatives and businesses.  It also demonstrates the strong commitment of the Ministry to promote people-centered, inclusive and comprehensive Digital Transformation,” Tien said. 

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also launched the emulation movement "Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Rural Development in the 2021-2025 period".
