Vietnam, India strengthen defense ties

(VOVworld) – Defense relations between Vietnam and India have borne fruit since the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation in 2009.
At a reception on Wednesday for India’s Army Chief of Staff General Dalbir Singh, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty expressed his confidence that Singh’s visit will advance mutual understanding and trust between the two armies.
Ty urged both sides to effectively implement their agreements.
