(VOVworld) - Vietnam is the top priority in Mexico’s policy toward the Asia-Pacific, said Chairman of the Mexican Senate’s Foreign Affairs Committee for Asia Pacific, Senator Teofilo Torres Corzo, in a reception for the Vietnamese ambassador to Mexico, Le Linh Lan, on Thursday.

Senator Torres Corzo hailed Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements in flexibly implementing economic and renewal policies. He said the Vietnamese government had managed to work out Vietnam’s strength and use it effectively. Mr. Torres Corzo said Mexico highly appreciated the respect of Vietnam’s government for Mexico congress, including its Foreign Affairs Committee for Asia Pacific. He expressed his belief that the two countries would continue to foster bilateral relations through major cooperative projects for each country’s mutual benefit.
