Vietnam, Israel amend air transport pact to set stage for direct flights
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese and Israeli signed a protocol in Jerusalem on Monday amending an air transport agreement, as the two countries prepare to launch direct flights to boost bilateral trade and tourism.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Do Minh Hung and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi also discussed the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement and negotiations on a bilateral agreement on labour and agriculture cooperation.
The value of trade between Vietnam and Israel reached 1.3 billion USD in 2020, higher than last year despite COVID-19. Bilateral trade is projected to continue to grow next year if the pandemic is kept under control.
