(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and Israel’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) have announced the recent signing of two important cooperation agreements pertaining to inland security and protection of confidential information.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Dang Van Hieu and Israel’s Ministry of Defense Director-General Major General Dan Harel signed the two memorandums of understanding during Hieu’s visit to Israel from March 21 to 24. Hieu delivered a draft document on crime fighting cooperation to the host, and proposed measures to boost cooperation between the two ministries in network security, trans-border crime prevention, human trafficking, illegal immigration, and crimes involving citizens of both countries. The two also discussed bilateral cooperation in logistics and technology. During their stay in Israel, the Vietnamese delegation visited some MoD-run companies to gain a better understanding of products and technologies related security work. They also visited the Israel Police Counter-Terrorism Unit and Forensic Science Institute.
