Vietnam, Japan forge closer legislative ties

At Japan's National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Luu met with GRIPS President Akihiko Tanaka and the Director of the Centre for Global Leaders Development to discuss public management and the reform of the Japanese Government. He expressed his hope that President Tanaka will promote the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan. Tanaka pledged to boost cooperation between his institute and Vietnam’s agencies.

During a viist to the Vietnamese Embassy the same day, Mr. Luu said the National Assembly has approved laws to improve the investment environment and create favorable conditions for Japanese investors. He said he hopes the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will continue attracting Japanese investment to big projects in Vietnam.

The NA Vice Chairman also visited the Canon Group, one of the most successful investors in Vietnam.
